Welcome to Preschool!

The BVSD Preschool Program is enrolling three and four year olds at this time. The first day of preschool is August 20th.

If your child will be 3 on or before 10/1/2026, you can submit an application at bvsd.schoolmint.com. 

If your child will be 4 on or before 10/1/2026, you can submit an application at UPK.Colorado.gov to apply to our program.

Boulder Valley School District's integrated preschool program welcomes 3 and 4 year old children who have qualified for the Colorado Universal Preschool Program, have an individualized education plan, or who pay tuition, all in one classroom.

Because children’s brains and bodies grow at such a rapid pace from birth to age five, the preschool years are a critical time for them to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. Our integrated preschool program offers an exceptional opportunity to do just that. 

Creativity is the tool, knowledge is the outcome.

High-quality preschool programs fuel children’s natural curiosity. Our preschools use the ‘Creative Curriculum,’ which is all about active learning. Children are experiencing, moving, making things and talking about their discoveries. They do not just watch and listen but instead are inspired to explore independently and with others.

The skills and knowledge they build prepare them to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. 

Preschool and Preschool Enrichment.

BVSD's Preschool and Preschool Enrichment program offers part-time preschool at all of its 24 locations and full time preschool at 16 of them. 

Preschool classrooms offer high-quality, play-based instruction and Enrichment classrooms offer an optional extended day that expands on the lessons in the Preschool classroom. 

Both Preschool and Preschool Enrichment classrooms are capped at 18 students.

FAQs

Preschool Tuition

Tuition for the 2026-27 school year is $709 per month for Preschool (15 hours/week), $785 for Enrichment (an additional 20 hours a week) and $1494 per month for full time Preschool plus Enrichment.

Tuition for Community Montessori is $870 per month for half day and $1705 per month for full day.

Each tuition seat requires a $75 application fee ($150 to apply to both Preschool and Preschool Enrichment.)

Colorado Universal Preschool Program (UPK)

All four year olds receive 15 hours per week of preschool at no cost to the family. Qualifying 4 year olds can attend full time. 

Three year olds who have an Individualized Education Plan can also enroll in BVSD preschools at no cost, for 15 hours per week.

Families of 3 and 4 year olds can also choose to pay tuition for hours not covered by UPK.
