Did you know?

Boulder Valley School District has an amazing preschool program that offers half-price and full scholarships! Children who are 3 or 4 years old by October 1 of the year of enrollment are eligible to attend BVSD preschools.

We invite you to learn how we can partner with your family to make preschool learning a reality for your child, no matter what your circumstances or your child’s learning needs.  

Full Day Fun

Starting in August, BVSD integrated preschools will be partnering with BVSD’s PreSchool Enrichment Program to offer an extended day for preschoolers. Mid-day transportation will be provided between the preschool and a PreSchool Enrichment Program at another nearby school, at no additional cost.

Space in this full day option is limited, and families will be enrolled on a first-come first-served basis.

 Just because our preschools are a ton of fun doesn’t mean your child isn’t growing developmentally and academically in leaps and bounds. Our teachers all hold Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and make sure every child is prepared to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.

 After a year spent largely at home, our youngest learners are eager to get into the classroom and make new friends. And you may be eager to regain some structure in your life! Preschool is an exciting opportunity for you and your family as your child discovers their world through play. And we are so excited to welcome your child to school!

The BVSD preschool curriculum aligns with our kindergarten curriculum to offer a seamless transition into elementary school. Also, because BVSD preschool programming dovetails with BVSD kindergartens, your child’s kindergarten teacher will learn about your child before their first day.  Your child will be ready for kindergarten, and our kindergartens will be ready for your child.

 Access for all, no matter what

 We work with every family to make our program affordable, so if paying for preschool is a concern, please let us know and we will explore options with you. Children who are 3 or 4 years old by October 1 of the year of enrollment are eligible to attend BVSD preschools.

For frequently asked questions, such as whether your child must be potty-trained to attend preschool (the answer is no!), please visit our FAQs page or contact the preschool community liaison at one of our 20 neighborhood elementary schools that offer preschool. 

You can also fill out an application here and a preschool community liaison will contact you. Please collect the following documents before you start the application: 

• your child’s birth certificate,

• current proof of address such as a utility bill

• your child’s latest physical and proof of immunizations
