Getting Started in Preschool

At Boulder Valley School District preschools, we invite all families and students to join our learning community. We work with our families to support their children’s learning with the right combination of play and structure. We inspire curiosity, encourage social and emotional development, and deliver targeted instruction for those who need an extra boost. There’s no better way to get kids excited about school and what they can do!

Join us! To apply for our integrated preschool program, follow these steps:

Young girl and woman in a classroom
Boy on a scooter

Children exiting a bus

Take the steps to getting started

Our preschool teachers hold advanced degrees in early childhood education, so they know how to make learning fun, relevant, and effective for our students. Every preschool team includes at least one paraeducator (assistant teacher) and a community liaison who helps build a strong preschool community. In addition, our licensed speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, school psychologists and social workers provide services right in the classroom.

Our classes all follow the ‘Creative Curriculum,’ which engages students in active learning: listening and responding, asking questions, experiencing, moving, making things and talking about their discoveries.
